Data Collection on This Website
How do we collect your data?
Your data is collected when you provide it to us (e.g. via the contact form). When visiting the website, technical data is also collected automatically by our systems (IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited).
What do we use your data for?
The data is collected to ensure error-free provision of the website and to process your contact inquiries.
What is stored in your browser?
Up to three things, and all only on your own action. First, results of the game Hot Wire, if you save a result yourself (entry “additrix-lagenbau”): score, difficulty level, part, date and the name you enter for it. This list stays in your browser and is not transmitted to us. Second, if you also enter a result in the public leaderboard, the deletion key for it (entry “additrix-lagenbau-eintraege”, see section 5). Third, if you switch on the sound in the game, that choice (entry “additrix-lagenbau-ton”); if you switch it off again, the entry is deleted. The entries stay stored until you delete them, which you can do at any time via your browser settings. The language follows the address of the page (English pages start with /en/); nothing is stored for it. This website does not set cookies.
2. Hosting
This website is hosted by Strato AG.
Provider: Strato AG, Pascalstraße 10, 10587 Berlin, Germany
When visiting this website, the hosting provider automatically records server log files, including IP address, browser type, operating system and pages accessed. This data is used to ensure operation and diagnose errors, and is not combined with other data sources.
Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest). Strato is engaged on the basis of Art. 28 GDPR.
3. Contact Form
When you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact data you provided, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions.
Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (contract initiation) or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest).
Storage duration: Your data will be deleted as soon as your inquiry has been finally processed, unless there are legal retention obligations.
4. Reach measurement for QR codes
Printed materials such as flyers, trade fair displays, signs on our machines and business cards carry QR codes pointing to this website. When such a code is scanned, the visitor first reaches a redirect address on our own server and is forwarded from there. We count that request.
Purpose. We want to know which of our materials, devices and placements are actually used, in order to decide on print runs, trade fair participation, exhibition locations and the design of our materials.
Data processed. For each request we store only: the identifier of the QR code (denoting the placement, not an individual printed copy and not a person), the date and full hour, a coarse device category (mobile, tablet, desktop or not identifiable), whether the identifier is known to us, and whether the request came from an automated crawler.
Data we do not store. We do not store your IP address, neither in full nor truncated. To prevent automated mass requests from distorting the count, our server derives a check value from the IP address using a rotating secret key for at most one minute; this value is then deleted. We store no location data, no full browser user agent string, no language setting and no screen resolution.
The redirect sets no cookies and stores no information on your device, nor does it read information already stored there. There is therefore no access to your terminal equipment within the meaning of Section 25 TDDDG, and no consent is required.
No recognition. The stored data does not allow any conclusion about your person. We create no usage profiles and cannot tell whether several requests originate from the same person.
Legal basis. Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the economically sensible management of our public relations work.
Recipients. This data is not transferred to third parties. We use no external service provider and no URL shortening service. Evaluation takes place exclusively on our web server operated in Germany.
Retention. Individual requests are deleted automatically after seven days at the latest. Only aggregated totals per QR code and day remain, which no longer have any personal reference.
Right to object. Under Art. 21(1) GDPR you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. Please note that the stored data has no personal reference, so we cannot identify and remove your individual requests (Art. 11(2) GDPR). You can avoid the collection entirely by visiting additrix.de directly instead of scanning the code.
5. Public leaderboard of the game Hot Wire
After a round of Hot Wire you can enter your result in a public leaderboard. This only happens if you enter a name and tick the box for public display yourself.
Data processed. The name you enter (a nickname is fine), your score with its partial scores, the chosen difficulty level, the chosen part and the time of the entry. We do not ask for an email address.
Where the entry is shown. Name and score are shown publicly on this website and on screens we set up at our locations and at trade fairs.
Purpose and legal basis. The leaderboard turns the game into a competition. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.
Withdrawal and deletion. When you submit an entry, your browser receives a deletion key and keeps it in local storage (entry “additrix-lagenbau-eintraege”). With it you can delete your entry from the leaderboard yourself. Our server keeps only a check value of this key, not the key itself. From another device or after clearing your browser data, an email to info@additrix.de with the name and the approximate time of the entry is enough.
Retention. The leaderboard runs per calendar week from Monday to Sunday. When the week has ended, all entries are deleted automatically, except the top three of each list by difficulty level and part: they remain visible as last week’s winners for one more week and are deleted afterwards.
Abuse protection. At most ten entries per hour are possible per internet connection. For this, our server derives a check value from your IP address using a secret key and deletes it after one hour; we do not store the IP address itself. We reject or delete names with offensive content.
Recipients. The data is kept on our web server at Strato AG in Germany (see the section on hosting). It is not transferred to third parties or to third countries.
Voluntary. The entry is voluntary. You can use the game fully without it; your result then stays in your browser only.
